The New Publicness – Opportunities For Advertisers
February 17, 2009 2
Yesterday, Jan and I were invited to talk on Stichting Marketing’s Data Driven Marketing expert group. A task force of advertisers and agencies, that has meetings like the one we joined yesterday, discussing several topics working towards a yearly congress (this year it will be held on May 7th and we will be speaking as well).
We had a talk about Facebook (the biggest part of the evening) and explained Twitter a little more. The group was familiar with Facebook, yet its benefits for advertisers (the newsfeed advantage, the amount of data that is out there to tap into, …) seemed not to be all that clear. It became a very lively discussion ranging from privacy concerns (yes, even advertisers and agencies have concerns here!) over opportunities to listen and learn to questions regarding how to benefit from all Facebook data in a thought-through CRM-approach.
We hope you enjoy our presentation underneath, feel free to comment or ask us for more info.
